A native of Pensacola, Fla., he had been a Peninsula resident for the last 55 years. He was a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Virginia State Bar Association and the Hampton Bar Association. He shared 29 years of marriage with his beloved wife Christie and practiced law with her since 1991 at the firm they founded, Wilson and Wilson, PC. Mr. Wilson was a graduate of Norfolk Catholic High School, Belmont Abbey College and received a degree from Syracuse University College of Law while also obtaining a Master of Public Administration degree from the Syracuse University Maxwell School of Public Administration. He also completed additional graduate hours at Old Dominion University in urban studies. He served as an instructor for the Virginia Bar Association's "Bridge the Gap" seminars. A very talented musician and songwriter, Paul was a founding member and lead vocalist of the C-Street Band. He was actively involved with his children's activities, serving as the assistant coach of the Hampton Roads Academy Track team and also coached little league baseball. He was a past president with the Wythe Exchange Club, and thoroughly enjoyed frequent world travels with his wife and family. Survivors include his wife, Christie Wilson; two children, Concetta Wilson of Raleigh, N.C., and George M. Wilson of Jacksonville, Fla.; his sister, Maria Gilmer and his brother, Dr. George Wilson, as well as many well-loved nieces and nephews and Christie's large extended family with whom he was especially close.
