Christie Wilson is a graduate of Tufts University, Medford, MA, and Syracuse University College of Law, Syracuse, NY. She began her legal career in 1982 as an attorney for the Peninsula Legal Aid Center, where she established and managed the reduced-fee Private Bar Involvement Program. While there, she rose to Managing Attorney and served as Interim Executive Director. Ms. Wilson has been in private practice in Newport News since 1990. She excels in all aspects of family law cases, including military divorces. She is a member of the York County Bar Association and the Virginia Women's Attorney Association. She has been a Director of the Newport News Bar Association, the Virginia Young Lawyers Conference, the Peninsula Legal Aid Center, and the Virginia Poverty Law Center. In 1989, the American Bar Association honored Ms. Wilson with national recognition for a seminar she organized for attorneys representing abused and neglected children. In 1991, the Governor of Virginia appointed her to the State Advisory Council to the National Legal Services Corporation. Ms. Wilson has served as a Director of the Seton Manor Adult Home in Hampton and was a member of the Junior League of Hampton Roads, the Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, and the Better Business Bureau. |
Mr. Marion’s practice focuses on family law, criminal defense, and bankruptcy. He handles both contested and uncontested divorces, spousal support, and child support matters. He also prepares clients for filing Chapter 7 bankruptcies, as well as provides representation in traffic, DUI, and other criminal matters. While in law school, Mr. Marion served as an intern for the Richmond City Attorney’s Office and the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia. He served on the Law School’s moot court board, drafting tournament problems and bench briefs regarding relevant issues in First Amendment and criminal constitutional rights. He participates in various state and local bar activities, and has experience teaching classes in constitutional literacy to middle and high school students throughout the Tidewater area.
