If you have been arrested for a crime, it is important that you speak with a criminal law lawyer before you are questioned by the police. The police are skilled at putting those they question in difficult positions. They are allowed to, and frequently do, lie in order to get the information they want. They are trained in leading you to say what they want to hear, not what you want to tell them.
CRIMINAL LAW / MISDEMEANORS and FELONIES
Criminal offenses can affect multiple aspects of your life, not just your record. Criminal convictions, misdemeanors and felonies, can result in jail time and possibly follow you the rest of your life. Due process is the principle that courts must respect all of the legal rights owed to an individual pursuant to the law. Due process holds the legal system accountable to the law of the land and protects individuals from the state. Due process is your right and an experienced attorney will ensure that your due process is met and protected throughout the criminal process.
